Getting ranked high in search engines in now every web owners desires. This isn’t surprise because the issue of just coming online and laying low till the traffic starts coming has really made lots of new businesses to close shop. The need for people to know ones website has been preached from all the corners of the internet and it is still a handful of people that knows the correct and effective ways of applying techniques and methods that are helpful. There are lots of techniques and methods applied by several individuals or online companies to try to drive targeted traffic to their websites. Some of these techniques are the acceptable ones and are generally called white hat SEO techniques while others may still be effective to some extent but is generally not acceptable to many. These forms of unacceptable SEO methods are called Black hat SEO techniques. This now brings us to the issues of White hat vs Black hat SEO techniques.

Online marketers are conversant with some SEO practices that are safe, non manipulative and plain in nature. They call these white hat SEO techniques. These includes practices such as optimizing meta tags of the website, using the keywords as part of the domain name or the URL, constantly submitting the site to certain website directories, obtaining links from related websites, blogs or forums, creating keywords or keyword phrases optimized content and making use of sitemaps on the website. Google even encourages these kinds of search engine optimization techniques and go further by offering services such as Google webmaster tools. Other search engines also appreciate these white hat practices and support them through various different means because these methods helps the search engines to easily locate the information they are seeking for and bring up the pages where they are kept by the webmaster.

On the other hand, black hat SEO techniques cloak the information on the website and deceive the search engines to believe that they contain what they don’t. They can also redirect the search engines to other pages that are different from what human visitors will see when they get there. This may bring them traffic as they desire but it won’t be all that good because most of the people that clicked through their site through these mean may be disappointed by the different content they see at such site. These are essential what we are talking about when we say white hat vs black hat SEO techniques. They are really incomparable in terms of benefits because white hat gives more endearing benefits.

The funny thing about these black hat SEO techniques is that they are continually being designed and redesigned by the users to keep deceiving the search engines and these search engines on their part are also continually discovering these tricks and keeps penalizing the sites that engage in the sharp practices. Some sites that were discovered to keep indulging in these black hat methods are in most cases dropped entirely from search engine ranking and you wouldn’t want that to happen to your site.

White hat vs black hat SEO techniques are opposite in nature if we are to look at the end results each bring to the website.
