Famous oil painting is an inspiration; it would not be possible to paint without inspiration. Every artist needs to find their inspiration in the world around them. Painters often take a walk to take their mind off painting if they are struggling to find inspiration. Many artists will visit a gallery or museum looking at other famous oil painting work. Sometimes taking your mind off the painting for a while can help.

A lot of famous oil painting artists have spent many years training in schools and colleges. Artists take great pride in the work they create and study for several years. In fact, many artists feel that they are learning about their craft constantly. An artist is never truly satisfied with their work and is often their own worst critics. Many artists do not become well known until they die. Vincent Van Gough was not discovered until he died.

When an artist is inspired to paint they need to get some good oil paints and start. It is always best to buy high quality primary and secondary colors rather than cheap paints. Oil paints are available in tubes, as water mixable oils in blocks and bars that are in sticks and not oil pastels. Thinner is extremely important to dilute the paint and clean the brushes and palette. Turpentine helps to keep the oiliness of oil paint.

Once an artist has a design they will use pencils to create an outline on white canvas. Pencils are used to create the first layer. The oil painting is still rough during this stage with only a small number of big color blocks. The second layer is begun once the first layer has dried. It can take a long time to create a well designed painting because it is necessary to wait for the paint to dry between layers.

Oil colors have changed since they were first created, but the same principals still apply. Oil paints are far better than they ever used to be. Ivory black must always be avoided during the first stages of oil painting. Ivory black takes much longer to dry than other paints. Once the paint has dried, oil paint can then be used.

Oil pigments are used to create oil painting. Artists had a mythological and decorative way of painting until the fifteenth century. However during the Renaissance alternative ways of propagating famous oil painting were used. Art has transformed greatly over the years and new forms have been introduced.

Good lighting is essential when painting famous oil painting. Lighting helps to bring the color out and relieve eye strain. Good ventilation is just as important as good lighting. Certain chemicals may be toxic such as, thinners and cleaners. Therefore, it is important to have good ventilation in the studio. Without good ventilation an artist may inhale toxic fumes.

Apart from paint, the most important tool in painting is the brush. Buying the best quality brushes is extremely important since cheap brushes shred bristles easily. Therefore when painting the bristles can get in the way and may smudge your work. The sable and synthetic brushes are the very best to use when doing famous oil painting. When using acrylic paints the nylon brushes are the best.
