Single friends can become edgy when the yuletide holidays start to creep in. All the months of being alone seems not to matter except for the time of getting together to celebrate Christmas and New Year. All those office parties, reunions, and family get togetherness can become daunting with no partners or escorts accompanying you in such occasions. And so what can you do to feel all alone when you are obviously single this yuletide holidays?
Stick with your friends or family when cold seasons start. There is always safety in numbers, particularly numbers including your family and friends who loves and accepts you single or coupled. Prevent yourself from feeling lonely by helping out friends and family in preparing for parties and dinners can be uplifting. Do not muddle in loneliness by spending too much time alone. No use in dragging yourself in dates when you have better company who knows you inside and out without judgment and only love.
Pay it forward with good deeds and secret charities. Of course, whoever said single hood needs to be lonely? You can make a lovely day with the less unfortunate by giving away old clothes, toys, books, and many other necessities. You can even help out in your local church and community food ration centers so you can make someone happy. As simple as lessening your indifference to the stranger who needs help picking up their things when they stumble and fall can be a good deed. Who knows if you keep it up, Santa Claus might hear about your acts of mercy and be generous in your love life?
Take part in charity fund drive by joining volunteer organizations. There is a different kind of love being experienced in helping a charity driven charity club in the hope of finding funds for their yuletide efforts. Most of these community drives are centered on recycling old stuffs up for sale to gather funding in their feeding program like previously mentioned or helping out an orphanage from the other side of the world by sending financial support.
Find a new hobby or interest to keep you preoccupied. It maybe your missed pottery class or jewelry design course that you keep on rescheduling. Why not take up these classes during the holidays? You not only learn new skills but might possibly develop friendships among your class mates. Plus, you can later on earn from the skills you acquired as your sideline profit.
Rediscover yourself during the yuletide seasons. You know how much you can miss a lot about yourself with all the social expectations you have to face being single. Why not focus on yourself for a change? Knowing yourself all throughout can make you have clear ideas about what you want in a relationship and lessen the effort you have to do to present the best of your qualities to your potentials.
Being single during the holidays does not sound that bad when you find something to do that can also be meaningful at the same time. There are many different types of love aside from the romantic kind so be aware of the other avenues of your joy, affection, and humanity love. When you start to share yourself with others, love comes looking for you in the end.
