If you want to do something different for this spring, because spring is the time when the rivers are deepest, you can try the rafting in Kresnensko defile. Kresnenski prolom or also called Kresnensko defile is a defile in Bulgaria, formed by Struma River when crossing with its West slopes of Pirin Mountain and its East of Maleshevska Mountain. The defile is long 18 kilometers.
It is not necessary to be advanced or you have any experience with rowing, it is not necessarily to be at an exact age or weight, the only thing is to be intent of the purpose for all to have a good time and as extreme as possible. There is no chance for you to get out from the boat dry, but the adrenaline and the neoprene costumes will help you not to feel the cold water.
The trip is actually very pleasant. If it isn’t as extreme as you wish to be, the guide (instructor) who sits usually at the back of the boat, turns it upside down to be more fun.
The instructors look and act very professional like and they give you a sense of security and control in the situations. The company has also a photographer, who is running up and down near the river, trying to take the funniest and the most interesting pictures that you will enjoy watching afterwards. They are not very cheap, but they are very professional and you will be happy to have them and show them to your friends and family.
