Anyone would want a happy marriage but what happens when an individual becomes unfaithful? Is saving a marriage worth the effort?

Hope
Have the hope that the relationship can actually be restored. This is fundamental. When someone has hope, that person is committed to making the relationship work. Avoid doing or saying things that will hurt the relationship further especially if the other partner is remorseful about what happened and is committed to saving a marriage. When you have hope, you cultivate your marriage. When you cultivate something you tend to take care of it. It’s like taking care of a baby all over again.

Get help through Counseling
Talk to your partner about visiting a counselor and booking an appointment to help you start rebuilding again. When you visit the counselor you will get to understand exactly why the other partner was unfaithful. You will become aware and you will not do the same things again. Through the counselor you get help to forgive and forget and focus on saving a marriage. You will learn what is required to avoid another break up through an affair.

Rebuild Trust
Someone said it takes years to build trust but it can be shattered in a day. Anything is possible or achievable. It is possible to build that marriage again. It is possible to love him or her again. It is indeed possible to start again. Trust is having faith that what you are working on will actually come to pass irrespective of what others may think. When you have trust you look at the future and you know beyond a doubt that there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. When rebuilding trust you refuse to sit around people who speak fear into you. You sit among those that believe in you and believe in your marriage and are committed to saving a marriage too.

Be committed to Reconciliation
When you are committed to something, you will put all the effort that is required to make it a success. When you know you have an obligation towards your marriage you make a choice to have compassion, understanding and having patience. You choose to love again and forget the past. With this kind of resolution your marriage can survive and last a lifetime.

Saving a marriage considering the kids
Consider the high cost of separation with the children involved. I am sure you would not want your children to grow up without a father or a mother.

Having considered the following I am sure you would be entirely committed in saving the marriage. You can do it again. Believe in your marriage.
