Part II
One huge mistake people make when using Adwords is they include a limit with their daily campaigns. Some of these individuals take how much traffic they think they'll get in a day for certain keywords and then set 4 to 5 day limits. Then these people go back to look and find that their money is gone because people clicked their links like crazy but none of those prospects converted. To avoid making this whopper of a mistake, set a lower daily limit and figure how much traffic you'll get while being realistic. Then once you are clear on it, increase it from there. This will not only cause you to be stressed less, but you will be able to grow your campaigns bit by bit.
Just know that you cannot have more than one hundred ad groups per account, so you will want to ensure you stay well under that number. Your landing page must be effective if you hope to succeed with Adwords. You ask why? You want to not only send people to your page, but you also want them to convert. You'll only be tossing your money down the drain. If you ever want a great landing page, it must be tested just like you test your various ads. If your landing page isn't doing so well, you should try out different elements on it, like changing the title, the design, or anything you can think of. So testing the landing page isn't just necessary, it's also necessary to test out what works when it comes to the pages various elements. Once you are aware of what works and what doesn't, you can put more money into it so that it can grow further.
It's very important to track advertisements and the keywords you use. If you don't do this, you will lose money in the long run because you'll be unable to see what you've learned along the way. So if what you're doing isn't working, you are just spending money needlessly. Adwords is a great way to track where you've come from and what you've done. You should see how certain keywords do and also play around with variations like the plural usage and also words that are spelled wrong. The purpose of tracking keywords is so that you can use what worked in another ad campaign. If you know something is working, it's always possible to use that strategy on future advertisements.
Turning off the content network is the best option when you're first creating a campaign. You have to turn it off, as it's on by default, and if you are fairly new to AdWords you are better off avoiding it. This is a form of contextual advertising in which your ads are placed on sites that partner with Google. You generally won't get a good click through rate using this type of advertising. You will see impressions but the CTR will be poor. It's also not a good way to attract serious prospects or customers, as many of the clicks come from people who only want to take a look and leave. All in all, Google AdWords can be called as the epitome of online advertising. It's the holy grail of direct marketing done through the Internet. Avoid making these blunders and you can find success with this advertising platform. It's all in how you use it.
